We were delighted to have Caro Bergan joins us for our 2015 August trip to Cambodia. She is a very experienced midwife/nurse who provided 16 hours of clinical teaching for the midwives at Prey Kebas Referral Hospital. In order to achieve this she spent hours preparing teaching aids with the assistance of Sokngy our Cambodian nurse. Caro is currently completing her Masters in Midwifery at University of Queensland. Her sense of humor and fun added to the success of our trip. Her ability to relate to non English speaking people and teach was extraordinary. We have received requests from both the staff and medical director Dr Nourn Sophat for her to return in the near future. SSS would like to thank her for the hard work and dedication she bought with her volunteering and the positive contribution she has made to Prey Kebas midwifery practices.
